making...

i made these pinboards for our bedroom (dbr's and mine) after suffering for nearly 3 months from a serious lack of colour. why we put up with it for so long i'll never know.

most of our furniture is very 70's retro and is actually from the 70's so i used this loverly floral fabric that is also super old skool. i made two, one protrait and one landscape using old carpet underlay, some stiff cardboard that i layered up, a staple gun and a few nails. i needed to keep them light (hence the cardboard) so they would stay up with 3m hooks as that is pretty much our only option for decorating our walls in this house.

this project wouldn't have been possible without dbr's hoarding habit and his staplegun. fun.
