looking good baby!

the breastfeeding new zealand facebook group is holding a photo competition called "looking good baby!" where mama's submit photos of themselves feeding their lovely little creatures out and about. to check it out here.



i entered a picture from when edie was just a tiny thing and she would still feed in public. now she is so nosy i have to feed her in a dark room, alone, with the curtains drawn and absolute quiet. this might be a slight exaggeration and she has definitely improved but for awhile there i had to time outings to be back home for each and every feed because the world was just too interested for e to miss anything. anyway, you all should go see, and vote for me. the idea is to promote breastfeeding everywhere and anywhere which, obviously i am totally into and if i win or get runner up for my region, i get a farmers gift card. which i'll probably spend on my kids which, obviously i'm also totally into.

note: to vote you have to allow the contests app or it will be mean and shut you out. normally i wouldn't ask for people to do this but this is a positive way of creating awareness about an important issue that still seems to be an issue for some people. i can't wait to stop hearing stories about people being asked to stop feeding, or to leave or feed somewhere else. when that happens, i'll let up on the pro-bf rants.
